Doors Open at Ulrich’s Tavern

Ulrich's Tavern

Ulrich’s Tavern, Buffalo’s oldest existing tavern, founded in 1868, will open their doors softly Wednesday night, 6/25 from 6:00- 11:00 pm.

Ulrich’s closed down last fall and was purchased by Tom Eoannou, the well known lawyer/preservationist who restored the North Park Theatre. The owner of the Snooty Fox Lounge, Sal Buscaglia, has been working on the reopening.

Although there are some new things in store at the old tavern, the pair plan to keep much of the old patina intact. There was an excellent article on the reopening on Buffalo Rising last February.

Below are some photos of the newly renovated interior and the opening food and drink menus. Ulrich’s Tavern is once again open for business at 674 Ellicott St., corner of Virginia St.
