Anyway, it’s more like Eat @………this Bakery, that bar or some spiffy new restaurant (this week its bistros, a cafe + an elegant eatery. This, my friends is where we here at Step Out Buffalo, recommend you Eat @ sooner than later.

Bistro Europa

Neighborhood: Elmwood

I couldn’t be more in love with Bistro Europa. This is one that everyone should put on their list. Go ahead, take out your list and write it down. It’s very small, and therefore can be quite difficult to fenengle a reservation. I suggest trying later in the evening on a weekday & call well in advance for your reservation. The idea is, eat local. Eat what is available. Embrace the ingredients that surround you. This European style eatery makes the absolute most out of what we have in WNY, what’s in season, and what’s fresh. And they do a damn good job. The menu is daily.

Sweetness 7 Cafe

Neighborhood: West Side

This cafe is in fact, sweet. It’s quaint and homey. Get a great cup of joe, some might say the best in the downtown area (they have an espresso maker fit for coffee fanatics). The atmosphere is warm and delightful, the menu is sprawled on the back wall as it should be and the seating is conducive to discussion and gatherings. Delicious brunch options are plentiful and use locally sourced ingredients. Did I mention they serve wine and sandwiches and quality craft beer? Basically, this is a place where you can relax, enjoy food & good company.

Butterwood Sweet & Savory

Neighborhood: Business District

No longer known as a destination for desserts in the suburbs, this elegant restaurant is straight out of a magazine. The chic design of this lower level urban restaurant transports you to New York City. Butterwood elevates Buffalo’s standard for dining options with a menu that supports the sophistication of the space. The desserts are on display and available for your choosing as part of a meal or as you wander in off the street to satisfy a late night sweet tooth ache. The fact that people are wandering the streets is a good sign for Buffalo.

Coco Bar & Bistro

Neighborhood: Business District

French food & style is one that I am glad to see in Buffalo. They appreciate the finer things in life across the pond, and we can certainly take a page from that book. Visit coco, have a bottle of wine, try something new. And if you are well accustomed to the French way of life already, overjoy in the fact that we are seeing more and more in the way of European charm around Buffalo every year. Alleluia!
