In keeping with the Buffalo renaissance one of Buffalo’s best, oldest and most beloved taverns has received a serious sprucing. Eddie Brady’s on Genesee is remodeled and redecorated. Preservationists can relax. Nobody messed up a slice of Buffalo history, but the place looks like a million (ish) with new tables, chairs, kitchen and bathrooms. New menu too.

The current brick frame dates back to the 1860’s when it was used as a saddle shop. It was turned into a tavern in the 1890s. Eddie Brady took the place over in 1990. He is still kicking around, but it is his brother Pat that has been doing most of the heavy lifting, or so he says.

Eddie Brady’s redo fits right in with the rest of what is becoming one of Buffalo’s hottest areas with the opening of Marco’s Deli, Toutant, Marble and Rye, Dog E Style, Oshun, Tappo, Big Ditch and the existing Seabar.
