Let’s face it, we could all use an escape from reality every now and then. Hence the reason virtual reality has gained the attention that it has. With VR, you’re able to get up close and personal with mystical creatures, fight off zombies, dodge asteroids in space and so on. Basically it’s like taking a trip through your wildest dreams. Sounds pretty cool right? Well, good news is, WNY knows just how fun the VR experience is, which is why more and more places across the region are offering a step inside these insane worlds. 1. Vortex VR Arcade

Vortex VR Arcade offers a variety of unique games that will bring you different levels of virtual reality. Owatch offers a 360 single person VR experience where you take actual twists and turns within your gaming chair to match your movements within the game. With Omni Arena, you’ll also find a 360 VR experience but this time you can have 1-4 players and instead of a gaming chair, you participate through an upright stance and running motions. These virtual worlds include entering a haunted house, clearing out a zombie horde, looting treasure, and more.

2. Orions Landing

3800 Lake Shore Rd, Blasdell, NY 14219 / More Info

Doubling as a retro arcade and VR center, Orion’s Landing offers you a blast to the past and a look into the future. Their virtual reality games can accommodate groups up to 12 people with 14 games to choose from. Some of their VR games include entering the world of Alice in Wonderland, escaping the lost pyramid, and surviving in an apocalypse.


3. Dave & Buster’s at the Walden Galleria

Dave & Busters has made a name for itself as an entertainment center and in more recent years, it has expanded on their gaming options by adding in virtual reality. Currently they offer 2 types of VR experiences including a Transformers themed game and their newest Top Gun: Maverick themed game.

4. Coming Soon: Level One Complex VR Arena

This March, Level One Complex is transforming into a multi-attraction facility. While they currently act as an indoor roller skating center, as of March they will no longer offer skating but instead, they will become an entertainment complex for Kids Paintball, Adult Bumper cars, Ninja Warrior, VR Arena, and Toddler Playground.
