If you Venture just southeast of Buffalo, you’ll stumble upon the picturesque village of East Aurora. It doesn’t really matter what time of the year you visit, East Aurora is the perfect getaway to enjoy the outdoors and mosey from shop to shop. That’s why it’s your next stop in the third installment of Step Out Buffalo’s Day Date Guides.

Cleanse Yo Self
As flu season (hopefully) winds down and we trade in snow for greenery, it’s a good idea to spring clean yourself for the warmer weather. Why not do it together? For your first stop, head on over to the perfectly-decorated and cute AF Kornerstone Cafe and Juice Bar to drink a delish smoothie or juice.
From matcha, to wheatgrass, to vegan whipped cream (!), this place really does have everything. And the best part? There are a ton of options for any dietary restrictions. From the juice bar, we recommend Beetade, which is the perfect blend of beet, lime and coconut water. If you’re looking for something a bit spicer, Flu-Away is also a great choice. Even if you’re not sick, the kale mixed with garlic, ginger and cayenne will have you feeling like a whole new person.
Besides, nothing says “I take care of my body, imagine how I great I could take care of you” quite like fueling up with a delicious beverage from Kornerstone.

Stroll Hand in Hand
One of our absolute favorite things about East Aurora is all the shops that line the streets. It’s incredibly walkable (most shops are located on either Main Street or Elm Street) and there’s a place for just about everyone. It’s the perfect afternoon activity because it’s cute, casual and allows for a ton of natural conversation to flow between the two of you.
There are so many shops to choose from, but here are some to check out:
Even if neither of you buy anything, you can tell a lot about a person by what he/she gravitates towards. And if you’re feeling brave, maybe grab your date’s hand to make the stroll extra special – go on, do it!
Satisfy That Sweet Tooth
No trip to East Aurora is complete without stopping inside the Elm Street Bakery. Not only does the inside look like our queen Joanna Gaines threw up in there (we mean this in the best way possible), but the bakery options will have you drooling before you even get up to the register

Obviously, you have to pick up some delicious dessert, but we also recommend heading over to the market, located inside the shop. There, you’ll find delicious house-made goodies, from dips and soups, as well as an array of loose tea. As a bonus, the market sells the ridiculously good Buffalo Barrel + Brine bloody mary mix, which is spiked with deli dill. You absolutely have to try it if you never have. Do we spot a breakfast date in the near future?? You can thank us later.
