Armed with “folk” instruments, A Girl Named Genny has always sought to push the norm of what is expected from an Americana band. Influences draw from jazz-roots music, to bluegrass-folk genres, and even rock and roll. Fiddles solos, vocal harmonies, meaningful lyrics, insanely fast drums, and more are just some of the ingredients of what makes their shows work.
