Join us at the CAM for Art Express, a family program where Children ages 6 to 12 participate in hands-on art-making activities and gallery exploration. Our CAM teaching artist collaborates with the students to create a thematic work of art inspired by the Castellani Art Museum’s collection.

January 28 – Icy Winter with Janinna Farragher
Discover the artistic song of snow and ice as we explore wintery art themes. Children can warm up as they explore how snow, ice, and the season can create beautiful poetic landscapes.
February 25– Colorful Story Quilts with Emma Britt
Explore the traditions of African American storytelling through the works of Faith Ringgold. Children will learn about Faith’s colorful and exciting story quilt artwork while making artwork inspired by the powerful BIPOC artist.
March 25 – Materials March with Zach Daddis
Explore and connect with different materials and textures that make art, art. Whether it’s oil or acrylic, canvas or burlap, buttons or feathers, students will engage in different artistic mediums and martials in a sensory-filled art session.
April 22 – Flower Power Hour with Zach Daddis
Celebrate Earth Day with an exciting exploration of nature, landscapes, and wildlife through art! Children will learn about the beauty of landscapes we see every day and be empowered to appreciate our environment through earth-inspired artwork.
Preregistration is preferred although registration will be available at the beginning of this event. Please arrive 15 minutes before this event if you plan on registering at the door.
