Be Your Own Hero will be hosting an Annual Career Fair and Industry Expo at Highmark Stadium, the home of the Buffalo Bills! At this event, we bring together 100+ innovative and equitable Western New York Employers with over 1,500 area students and young adults and another 250-500 in-demand job seekers. With a theme focusing on promoting networking and conversation amongst employers and the workforce of both the present and the future, Be Your Own Hero’s Career Fair and Industry Expo is a one-of-a-kind event that gives employers a direct line of communication to the workforce they’ll soon be recruiting.
This hands-on event exists to benefit both the participating employers and the attending job seekers while also refilling the depleted workforce pipeline that the Skilled Trades have seen in recent years. It will include networking opportunities, exposure to the Skilled Trades, and speakers that will be providing insights into their career journeys and practical tools for immediate application in the young adults’ own career journey. This is the one place where all generations are warmly welcomed to converge and commit to the continued development of the skilled trades, the workforce, and the career journeys of the workforce of the future across our region. After all, we’re at our best when solving problems collaboratively.
Now in its 4th year and its 2nd after a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Skilled Trades Career Fair and Industry Expo has grown to impact over 4,000 high school students and countless other job seekers in our area. Bringing all these important stakeholders together provides ample opportunities to share, mentor, and grow under one roof as a community. Join us in March 2023 as we commence another unique opportunity for job seekers, students, young adults, and employers all over Western New York.
