The inaugural Buffalo Country Music Festival is coming to The Backlot Entertainment Venue in Akron, NY. The event runs August 5th, 6th, & 7th starting at 4pm Friday & Sunday with a 12pm kickoff on Saturday. Andy Griggs known for hits like “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely” & “She’s More” will be performing Friday night following WNY’s own Fuzzy & The Rustbelts, The Noblemen & The Brothers Blue. Frankie Ballard with #1 hits like “Young & Crazy” & “Sunshine & Whisky” is set to take the stage after Kevin Mikula Music, The Zachary Lee Band, Applejack & Barnstorm on Saturday. Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry best known for hits like “Something To Be Proud Of”, “Lucky Man” & many more will be wrapping up the weekend up on Sunday with West of the Mark: The Prime Project, 90 West & J.B. Aaron. In total there will be over a dozen local, regional and national artists. Parking is free however we encourage you to donate to one of the local volunteer firefighter associations assisting with directed traffic for the event.
General admission is just $20 per day or there is a $50 weekend pass which covers admission for all three days. A limited number of $45 single day VIP experiences are available which includes a private side stage setting with seating, hors devours, and a swag bag. A minimum of $5 from every ticket sale will go to the local Make A Wish foundation to help make kids’ dreams come true. There will be several games and other opportunities to donate to the cause throughout the event including a mechanical bull & ax throwing.
The Stage is sponsoring a $1,000 contest for the best line dancing couple which will be held Saturday afternoon. Reds food truck as well as other local artisans will be present for you to explore and enjoy. Bring your friends and family to partake in this inaugural event.
