Start the Chautauqua 2022 season early with a special showing of work by acclaimed choreographer Christopher Williams featuring New York City Ballet principal dancer Taylor Stanley among a cast of notable contemporary dancers. As the culmination of a two-week residency at Chautauqua, this open rehearsal will offer the dancers their first opportunity to run through choreography from Williams’s new, original queer versions of legendary Ballet Russes works “The Afternoon of a Faun” and “Les Sylphides” in front of a live audience. Following this unique experience will be a special Q&A on the Amp stage with Williams and members of his team. This showing culminates a two week residency of Christopher Williams Dance at Chautauqua.
