Color theory and color relationships is an integral part of art and everyday living. Join us as we explore COLOR!! Learn how to create all those luscious vibrant colors you love. Also learn how to create captivating neutral tones and muted colors. Using watercolor paint as our medium, students will learn about color theory, color relationships and color mixing.
Students should bring a pad of watercolor paper and a notebook, or sketchbook, for note taking. All other tools and supplies will be provided. Lunch will not be supplied. Please feel free to bring a bagged lunch or something to snack on.
Janet Nye Vedder has experience as a graphic artist, product illustrator, and art educator. With a Masters in Education and twenty-two years of experience teaching art, she looks forward to teaching a variety of art classes on the Roycroft Campus.
As a Roycroft Artist-in-Residence, Janet currently has a studio in the Roycroft Print Shop where she creates her artwork. Janet works primarily in watercolor and Chinese brush painting; however, she has a strong background in fiber arts and collage.
