Buffalo, New York- A Step Towards An Egalitarian America.
Buffalo’s Own is a non-profit organization established to provide opportunities to the best
artists from Nickel City to show their talent with idiosyncratic artwork on various platforms.
It also actively advocates for community development by inaugurating social campaigns and
collaborating with other organizations. Buffalo’s Own is on board with Feed More W.N.Y.,
R.A.F.T., Core2Globe and Global African Business Association for the Food Justice Tour.
The Food Justice Tour will draw attention to the importance of Food Sustainability,
complying with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 of ending hunger
coupled with Goal 17, which calls for partnership and collaboration in achieving all goals.
The campaign aims to promote health equity and discuss the much neglected public health
sector. The first event of the Food Justice Tour is scheduled to take place at the Delavan-
Grider Community Center on 877 East Delavan, Avenue Buffalo, New York 14215, 1 p.m.-5
The Food Justice Tour will provide accessible resources to the communities experiencing
health disparities. The tour has been formulated after extensive research carried out using the
primary data available about the Western New York region that has been at the receiving end
of health and wealth disparities which are further worsened by lack of funding and policies to
address these problems, which the tour will cater through a collaborative, culturally sensitive,
data-driven approach to addressing Social Determinants of Health (S.D.O.H.) in underserved
groups, with a focus on the BIPOC community. Additionally, it will organize a food market,
cooking demonstrations, health screenings, and information about community resources
(mental health, social supports, workforce opportunities.)
The first event is open to the public for free. Pre-registration for the event is required for the
organization to make arrangements accordingly. For more details and information, visit their
