Come join Foundry instructor and board member Russ Reinagel for a two day workshop building a Live Edge Walnut Coffee Table in The Foundry’s Woodshop.
This two-Saturday workshop is the perfect way to gain some experience and improve your woodworking skills as you create a versatile and timeless live edge walnut coffee table (approximately 4’ long x 18”-24” wide x 16″ high). The walnut table will be complemented with metal legs and participants will finish their tables with a clear waterborne finish.
This class will cover:
- Project layout and measurement
- Using different blades and cutting tools
- Creating and using a jig
- Debarking and planing wood
- Finishing wood
Class Cost: $400 (materials and metal legs included.)
Class Size: Min 4/Max 6
This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of the status of class the Monday prior to the first session. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund.
The woodworking class will be held at The Foundry in our woodshop and outdoor patio with plenty of space to adhere to proper social distancing. We will be running our vent hoods to encourage adequate ventilation, and in warm weather will open garage doors to the outside air.
You will be required to wear a mask (please bring your own) and fill out our health screening assessment form.
Any change with COVID restrictions that require this session to be postponed will be rescheduled for a future date.
For the safety of our instructors and participants, anyone who does not follow these guidelines will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued.
