A daughter, Wife, Mom, a friend, a co-worker. A young woman’s fight against Breast Cancer
Melissa was born and raised in Western New York. She is the proud mother of 2 children, a 5 year old girl and a 9 month old boy, and has been a mail carrier for the USPS for 13 years where she met her husband. In July 2022 just after the birth of her son, she was diagnosed with stage 3b Triple Negative breast cancer. She has undergone 16 rounds of chemo, will require as many as 4 surgeries due to a genetic mutation that was detected during the course of diagnosis, and as many as 7 weeks of radiation after that. Her biggest goals are to see better and earlier screenings for cancer, and to be able to see her grandchildren one day. Fundraiser is to help raise money for medical bills and time missed at work for treatment.
