The Jay/Sharptet enjoys performing music with a focus on original compositions and arrangements. Inspired by ensembles such as the great Miles Davis Quintets they strive to approach every tune with a unique interpretation. Past performances include the Northwest Jazz Festival, the Queen City Jazz Festival, the CMC Jazz Festival, and Pausa Art House.
Join the Jay/Sharptet as we feature a mix of original music and arrangements of music from the career of trumpet player and singer Chet Baker and more. For this performance we will be focusing on Chet’s music from albums such as “Chet Baker Sings”, “She Was Too Good For Me” and original music from our album “For You (My Love)”.
