Beyond collecting candy, The Buffalo Zoo also has a brand-new lineup of safe and not-so-scary activities for children ages 12 and under, including a corn maze and costume parade. Plus, there’s pumpkin picking and decorating, photo ops, and complimentary rides on the carousel and train for your kids.

Every weekend, there’s special character appearances, including the Sanderson Sisters on October 2 and 3, Princesses on October 9, 10 and 11, Superheroes on October 16 and 17, and Wizards on October 23 and 24.

When you’re done with all your Halloween fun, you can stay and explore the Zoo (admission is already included with your ticket).
