The Susan G. Komen Western New York Race for the Cure® raises funds to support our mission: To save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
Proceeds fund breast health and breast cancer programs in Western New York that provide services for under-served populations, as well as National Research grants to find the cures.
The Race for the Cure helps us in our goal to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths in the U.S. in half by 2026. It also celebrates breast cancer survivors and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
The Race focuses on and celebrates everyone in the community who proves they are More Than Pink by taking action and raising money to support Komen’s Community Grants, which assist thousands of WNY women every year, and Komen’s National Research Grants program.
A fun morning for the whole family, there is a 5K walk and run, as well as food & beverages, entertainment, promotions, vendors, and education about local breast health and breast cancer programs.
