ACT NOW! Spend 5 amazing days in this week long intensive for high school students. Explore the actor’s process with classes in voice, movement, and acting. Masterclasses from guest instructors include a variety of specialty theatre topics.
Spend a week studing the actor’s process with other high school students in WNY serious about theatre. Classes in acting, movement, voice, scene study take up the majority of the day. But, special masterclasses happen as well – teachers and subjects TBA – but could include circus skills, accents and dialects, stage combat, and more!
Culminates in a presentation for friends and family showcasing the week’s training on the final day. All experience levels welcome! Memorization and commitment to attendance required.
Teachers are Chris Handley and Ellise Chase. Chris is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, has an MFA in Acting from Indiana University and a BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia. Ellise is currently earning her MFA in Acting from Indiana University, and has a BFA from Gannon University. She also studied at Point Park University.
For students grades 9-12. (If you’re just entering grade 9 or just graduated grade 12, you’re welcome to join!)
