  • On Wednesday, July 18th Buffalo River Fest Park will be host their “Wednesday Night Summer Concert Series” at the park, located at 249 Ohio Street, Buffalo, New York. The concert will run from 6:30pm to 10pm and will feature the local band FlipSide.

    FlipSide has been performing throughout WNY for the past twenty years to audiences of all ages. They have performed at Thursday In The Square, The Taste of Buffalo, the Erie County Fair, Canal Fest, and at various bars and night clubs. The band is comprised of Mark Christy (lead vocalist, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards); John Lajoie (vocals, guitar); Dan Schmidt (drums); and Paul S. (guitar). Over the years FlipSide has won the Best Classic Rock Group category in the annual Buffalo Music Awards, Best Classic Rock Band award at the WNY People’s Choice Music Awards and has won Best Classic Pop Band at the Buffalo Night Life Awards in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

    Admission is free and food and refreshments will be sold at the concert, with all proceeds supporting Buffalo River Fest Park maintenance and other riverfront development. No coolers will be allowed and spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is free and is available on surrounding side streets.

    The Wednesday Night Concert Series will feature some of the best local bands playing against the backdrop of the historic Buffalo River and grain elevators.
