Tango artist Chris Vasquez was awarded the prize of “Best Singer” at the International Tango Music Competition by the New York Argentinian Counsulate, and he was a finalist in the Medellín International Tango Festival Voice Competition. He has performed in Argentina, Colombia, across the US as well Romania, Bulgaria, and China. Locally he has performed at The Mary Seaton Room and the concert hall at Kleinhan’s Music Hall and Canisius College Montante Cultural Center. Mr. Vasquez has written and produced several tango performances. His tango CD is titled ‘Carlos Gardel…then and now.’ Mr. Vasquez holds degrees from Tufts University and from New England Conservatory of Music. Moshe Shulman is the premier performer of tango music in the Western New York area. In addition to his great work on violin, he is the only performer in Buffalo playing the traditional tango instrument, bandoneon. We’ll showcase these talented artists, for a special night at Pausa. They are simply extraordinary. All of Buffalo needs to see and hear them! Also featured Pianist Ivan Docenko and violinist Miranda Shulman.
