  • Buffalo Place Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of the regular season of the Downtown Country Market on Thursday, June 14, 2018. M&T Bank will serve as Presenting Sponsor of the 36th Anniversary Season of the Downtown Country Market. The Market takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Main Street between Court and Church Streets through October 25, 2018 from 10:00 am through 2:30 pm each day.  Buffalo Place Inc. thanks and recognizes M&T Bank for their continued support of Buffalo Place Inc., the Downtown Country Market and Downtown Buffalo.

    The Market provides residents and visitors of Buffalo alike with a delightful shopping experience, featuring an eclectic mix of fresh goods and fine wares. The Downtown Country Market is a proud participant in the Pride of New York Program, Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, Field & Fork Network Double Up Food Bucks Program and the Farmers’ Market Federation of New York.

    Aunt Connie’s Ed-U-Kitchen will be on-site with their stationary blender bicycle on July 19thAugust 16thSeptember 13th. Aunt Connie’s Ed-U-Kitchen was developed to address the need of families to learn nutritional behaviors that achieve and maintain healthy consumption of food. Ed-U-Kitchen relies upon the rewards of making learning fun while building the fundamentals of establishing good eating habits. Shoppers will have the opportunity to hop onto the blender bicycle and pedal to power the blender that will create their own healthy smoothie with produce direct from the stands of the Downtown Country Market. Samples will be available on a first-come first-served basis and a smoothie recipe card will be provided.

    Buffalo Place Inc. is the not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the economic health and quality of life in Downtown Buffalo.  Buffalo Place manages the Downtown core surrounding the pedestrian mall, which was developed as part of the Light Rail Rapid Transit Project.  Buffalo Place activities are partially funded by special charges paid over and above property taxes within Downtown’s Special Charge District.  We strive to make Downtown Buffalo clean, safe, and fun.
