Join Tami from Blubird Studio and learn to make your very own felted soaps! Choosing from a variety of lovely Alpine Made soaps that are sustainably made from organic goats milk, you will learn how felt and embellish to your taste. Not only will you walk away with a new skill, but also an environmentally friendly and healthy product to enjoy continuously! Each person will get to make a felted bar soap and a felted bar shampoo.
Note – please notify us when registering if you have a nut or essential oil allergy as some of the soaps may be made using these.
Ages: Most suitable for adults of all ages – no experience necessary!
Materials: All supplies are included.
Instructor: Tami Selph of Blubird Studio
Tami is a modern fiber artist, whose work merges traditional foundations with today’s textured techniques, and vibrant colorwork. She enjoys working with multiple fiber media, and is passionate about revitalizing and sparking new appreciation for the fiber arts through education, and inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers. She is known for Collaborweave, an interactive weaving project which encourages community participation and creative collaboration, and her work has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool.
NOTE: All classes require a minimum number of students to run. Please sign up in advance to help avoid cancellation due to low registration. In the case of a cancellation you will be notified prior and receive a full refund. Please read our class policies.
