Sometimes it’s easier to say how you feel with something handmade. In this fiber workshop, we will needle felt our own conversation heart. Students will be making their Valentines using a mold and stencil with a phrase of their own choice. Utilizing wet felting to combine their elements with a heart foam core into the ultimate handmade Valentines Day accessory.
Students will be making two hearts!
Ages: 16 years and up – no experience necessary!
Materials: All supplies are included.
Instructor: Tami Selph of Blubird Studio
Tami is a modern fiber artist, whose work merges traditional foundations with today’s textured techniques, and vibrant colorwork. She enjoys working with multiple fiber media, and is passionate about revitalizing and sparking a new appreciation for the fiber arts through education, and inspiring and empowering a new generation of makers. She is known for Collaborweave, an interactive weaving project which encourages community participation and creative collaboration, and her work has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool.
