  • Hatha yoga is one of the oldest yoga traditions and is a style of yoga that seeks balance. Ha means the sun, and tha means the moon. Our physical practice will help us to balance these energies in ourselves in preparation for the meditative experience of hearing the singing bowls.

Sound healing is an experience that brings deep relaxation to the body and mind. By using a variety of Tibetan singing bowls, we can help the body to unwind and encourage the brain to enter the alpha-theta brain wave state (the same state as deep meditation.) It requires very little of us—only that we find a comfortable position to lie down and let the sound do all the work.

This workshop is open to students of all levels. Through physical practice, breath-work, and sound, we will explore the body’s ability to heal itself and find a sense of deep relaxation.

This workshop will be led by Michael Sheridan, who received training in Sound Healing through the International Academy of Sound Healing with Satya Brat. He completed his 200 YTT with Zuna Yoga, studying hatha yoga, tantric yoga, and meditation. He offers private and small group sessions. He is also a preschool teacher and loves to include some of these practices in his classroom.
