Becoming Elmwood: Buffalo’s Olmsted Parkway Neighborhood
Author Clinton Brown, founder of the Clinton Brown Company Architecture, a local firm specializing in historic preservation, tells the story of the Historic Elmwood District for the first time in his book Becoming Elmwood: Buffalo’s Olmsted Parkway Neighborhood. The book tells of the arrival on the Niagara Frontier of Joseph Ellicott, continues with the role of Fredrick Law Olmsted in the parks and parkways, and steps into the modern era. This beautiful book educates and enlightens readers to the history and origins of Elmwood Village’s enduring character.
