  • The Carnegie Art Center (CAC) is excited for the return of The Kristen Smigielski Combo for a night of holiday Jazz classics to warm the heart and the soul.  With Kristen Smigielski as lead vocalist, Donny Frauenhofer on piano, Nelson Rivera on sax, Ian Adelstein on lead guitar,  James Benders on bass and John Smigielski on drums, the band has a rich sound that has been heard at events at Kleinhans Music Hall, Buffalo Botanical Gardens, The Burchfield Penney Art Center, Becker Brewing Company, Becker Farms MainStage and Buffalo Iron Works.

     Kristen is a leader and driving force in the building a name and reputation for the band.  A vocalist from Buffalo, NY, she is a member of the JazzBuffalo Advisory Council, and has worked at the Music Department of Buff State.

     The CAC is located at 240 Goundry Street in North Tonawanda, NY and is open Thursdays: 5:00 – 9:00PM and Saturdays: 12:00– 3:00PM.  The building was completed in 1904 as one of thousands of public libraries financed by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Since 1976, the Carnegie, has been operating as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation offering art exhibitions, classes in a wide range of creative disciplines, and as a advocate for artists and art organizations.

     This event is sponsored in part by the City of North Tonawanda Council on the Arts, and the Members of the Carnegie Art Center.
