Event Category: Classes & Workshops
This is a three-part series, with classes on January 10th, 17th, & 24th.
Our first painting series in the new year will focus on water, both in movement and in color. Water is something we can all relate to, it’s part of our every day life and some of our fondest memories. Who wouldn’t want to paint something they love?
We chose the ocean in this particular series because of it’s movement and color palette. Water works with the sun and it’s surroundings to create beautiful landscapes.
We will work together to pick references for our final pieces; each student’s painting will be unique. All supplies are included, all students are responsible for are bringing a printed color reference to class, each time. If you prefer to use your tablet, that works too!
Ages: 16 years and up – no experience necessary!
Materials: All supplies are included. Please bring a few printed references to choose from if you’re not choosing from ours.
Instructor: Vanessa Frost
As a full-time artist and owner of MUSEjar, Vanessa finds inspiration and joy in teaching art. Art is a language that is often forgotten about and it’s amazing what happens once it’s tapped into. Her background is fine art and film production, with a degree from The University of Vermont. She loves mixed media and currently works mainly with acrylics, but she is constantly exploring and experimenting with all other mediums.
NOTE: All classes require a minimum number of students to run. Please sign up in advance to help avoid cancellation due to low registration. In the case of a cancellation, you will be notified prior and receive a full refund. Please read our class policies.
