When it comes to Halloween weekend, choosing where to celebrate (if you know what we mean) is a very serious decision. It honestly takes top priority, even over costume decisions. And yes, we love any and all Halloween parties. But what’s better than one Halloween party? A whole street full of Halloween parties!
This Halloween, get ready to crawl. Bar crawl that is. The Crawling Dead: Halloween Bar Crawl hosted by Step Out Buffalo is happening once again on Hertel Avenue. We love everything about this event, and yes we are 100% biased, since we created it. Which basically tells you that it’s gonna be amazing. No shame whatsoever.

Here’s How it Works:
The Crawling Dead: Halloween Bar Crawl is a choose-your-own-adventure style crawl. You’ll start by checking in at the SOB headquarters outside Mac’s on Hertel. This is where you’ll get your wristband and a map of all the 17 participating bars and their discounts and everything. From here, where you go is completely up to you and your crew. You can explore as many bars as you want, in any order you want.
What’s included with your wristband?
This year we’re doing it up even better than years past. Your wristband includes the following:
- 60+ food and drink specials at all 17 participating bars & restaurants
- Access to 17 participating bars & restaurants with no cover charge
- Exclusive access to the Crawling Dead Shuttle Bus going up and down Hertel all night long
- Haunted photo booth
- Free Slice of Pizza from Bob and John’s La Hacienda (8pm – 11:45pm)
- Halloween costume contest
- Free swag to the first 2,000 attendees
- Chances to win giveaways and prizes

On top of all that, we’re excited to announce that the featured beer of The Crawling Dead: Halloween Bar Crawl is Southern Tier’s Pumking. This pumpkin ale is the definition of seasonal and will be available at all participating locations.
Crawlers take costumes v. seriously. Two words: costume contest. Come to Mac’s at 10 p.m. to compete for a Coleman Portable Grill courtesy of Southern Tier Brewing Company!
