It still looks like a church from the outside, but when you walk in you’ll notice quite the transformation.
Ascension Church was built back in 1894 and was a much-loved treasure by the local community for years and years until it closed in 2007.

Fast forward 10 years, and the former church was transformed into an antique and artisan market by two lifelong North Tonawanda residents in 2017.
When they relocated their business to Ascension Church, it truly felt like a homecoming experience for them since they were lifelong members of the church up until it closed.
In December of 2017, this local couple reopened the doors as The Old Chapel Antique & Artisan Market.
Now when you open these church doors, you’ll notice its original beauty has been preserved, but with one major change. You’ll find 140+ local vendors set up inside.

There’s a mix of old and new vendors here selling antiques, collectibles, furniture, home decor, gifts, vinyl records, handmade candles, and jewelry.

If you are looking for an easy meal while you shop, on February 26th, The Old Chapel will proudly welcome the opening of The Mad Irons Cafe. This new Creperie located inside The Old Chapel Antique & Artisan Market will serve up a full menu daily from 10-6.

Unlike seasonal markets, The Old Chapel Antique & Artisan Market is open all year round. So if you’re looking for a way to shop and support local artisans all year round, here it is.
You can visit The Old Chapel Antique & Artisan Market any day of the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
