The more we learn about Borderland, the more obsessed we become. If you love food, adult beverages, music, art, nature, and vibes, like us, listen up. Here’s what you need to know about this two-day music and cultural festival. First, save the date for September 22 and 23.

This venue is goals.

Knox Farm State Park is GORGEOUS. If you’ve never ventured there, what the heck are you waiting for? But really, if you come to this festival for the views alone, you will not be disappointed. These scenic, storied grounds are everything a nature lover could dream of and more.

Come ready to feast.

Harvest season, we are ready for you, especially when it comes to eating. Farm to table feasting is the best kind of feasting. This weekend’s culinary creations are coming right from the local chefs and food trucks you know and love – think faves like Allen Burger Venture, Winfield’s Pub, and Black Iron Bystro.

Come ready to drank.

Cheers! This lineup is crafty af, so come ready to sip and celebrate talent from both sides of the border. If you aren’t already v. obsessed with Ontario’s Collective Arts Brewing, you will be. Beer and cider lovers can also look forward to pours from 42 North Brewing, Big Ditch Brewing, Community Beer Works, Ithaca Beer Company, Resurgence Brewing, and BlackBird Cider Works. Prefer a glass of red or white? Introduce yourself to our across-the-border friends at Henry of Pelham. If your drink of choice is absolutely seltzer, you need to try all of the flavors from PRESS.  See the list of brewers who will be there.

The local brewers are sooo excited for this festival, so much so they decided to host “Road to the Borderland” nights. Big Ditch Brewing’s event is coming up on 8/24 and Community Beer Works is celebrating on 8/31. If you’re trying to score free tickets, clear your calendar for the next two Fridays. BTW you can purchase festival tickets without service fees here too.

Come ready to jam.

In addition to the fact that two-time Grammy award-winning bassist Oteil Burbridge (of Dead & Co. / The Allman Brothers) was recently added to the lineup #NBD, the rest of the crew performing at Borderland is legit. National and regional Americana and roots artists are headed to the stage, and the talent levels are off the charts. See the full lineup here.

Come ready to shop.

Handmade art is our absolute fav. If you love discovering new and talented local artisans, bring all your dollars with you. Expect vendors like Terry Jolls – Blacksmith, Diane Lehmann – Jeweler Master, Scott Bye – Artist & Sculptor, Thomas Pafk – Artisan Wood Craftsman, and so many more. Check out the artisan list here.

Come. End of story.

Welcoming a next level festival like Borderland is seriously major and you will be seriously unhappy if it sells out before you snag your spot. AKA get yourself tickets sooner, rather than later. One-day tickets are $65 a piece and two-day passes start at $110. It’s gonna be worthy of your hard-earned money in our opinion.
