With so many shows coming to Shea’s and Canalside just a quick subway ride away – not to mention the Sabres gearing up for (hopefully) one helluva season nearby, Buffalo’s Theatre District is the place to be. And before heading to a show, game, or concert, you need a place to pre-game. Amirite? This is where we tell you to keep Expo Market in mind.

Cheersing is always the best way to start off a night. When it comes to spots to explore for your downtown event pre-game needs, Expo Market is a clear standout. This place has 5 restaurants and a bar, all under one roof. What’s not to love about that? And did we mention there are no – “will my server get me outta here in time for the main event?” concerns at Expo. Get it? Because there are no servers.

With Buffalo’s ridiculously incredible restaurant scene, deciding on one place can be tricky. Esp if you’re with a whole group of peeps. So, why choose? Expo Market has a little bit of everything. You can build-your-own salad, order a burrito, build-your-own pasta bowl, or try pad thai. Everything here is dangerously delicious, including the Gypsy juice from GBGB.

We love the Sabres. We love the Keybank Center, but parking can be a real B. You know what we’re thinking. But really, the post-game lines can get outta control. So, skip it. Spend your parking dollars at the bar. Trust us, it’s more fun this way.

Next time you’re out and about, make Expo Market your first stop and then walk across the street or hop on the subway or straight to your show at the theatre or Town Ballroom down the street. Easy peasy, right?

Side note: If you’re trying to book your own private event, Expo’s space is prime. There’s plenty of room to socialize, eat, and drink. All types of events are welcome here from vendor events to holiday parties to networking happy hours. Planning an in-office get-together? Expo offers drop-off catering to local businesses.
