It’s about that time of year again when the air turns crisp and you’re itching to grab your favorite flannel and put your dating pants on. We’re here to remind you that your date doesn’t always have to have two legs – they can have four and be covered in fur (better for snuggle season anyway, right?).
Here are 4 perfect date spots for you and your pup to visit this fall:
1540 Seneca Creek Rd, Buffalo, NY 14224
If you’re a Buffalonian like us, then you probably love all things local. Mayer Brothers is one of the oldest family owned businesses in New York State and just so happens to reside in Buffalo’s Backyard. Located on Seneca Creek Rd. in West Seneca, The Cider Mill Store offers every quintessential fall indulgence you can imagine from donuts and pies, to fresh pressed cider and one of the best cider slushies you’ll ever have.
On your way out, be sure to pick up a bag of their pre-packaged dog biscuit mix! Although dogs aren’t allowed inside of the store, there are plenty of picnic tables outside for you and your date to kick back and enjoy your cider slushies and donuts – C’mon they deserve at least a bite!
2. Bippert’s Farm
5240 Clinton St, Elma, NY 14059
You’ve probably passed this giant (super Instagram-worthy) pumpkin at least once in your life and now we’re here to tell you everything about its home – Bippert’s Farm. It’s basically what fall dreams are made of. This hidden gem is located on Clinton St. in Elma, NY and is just a stone’s throw away from Mayer Bros Cider Mill Store. Throughout the season you can get lost in their giant corn maze, enjoy fresh bakery treats and (more) cider slushies, shop for local produce, and find the perfect gift for your date in their extensive dog treat/food section. The best part? They love dogs and the entire property is DOG FRIENDLY!
3. Chestnut Ridge Park
6121 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127
One of the most romantic things about Fall is taking a walk through the woods and seeing the leaves change colors. You’ll be sure to impress your date by visiting this park and letting him/her roam its 1,200+ acres of land. Here you can hike the Eternal Flame Falls, play a game of disc golf, run its many trails, and watch the sun set on the scenic hill next to the toboggan chutes. This gorgeous park will take you away from the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day life and make for a perfectly peaceful date for you and your furry BFF.
25 Pine St, East Aurora, NY 14052
Located in picturesque East Aurora is one of Buffalo’s many great breweries, 42 North Brewing Co. Your furry date can happily relax here, as its patio is cozy and very dog friendly. Not only do their employees make sure you’re equipped with tasty adult beverages and food, they frequently come by to give your pup some love and occasionally some treats too! This is the perfect Fall spot to gather around its large fire-pit and share your love for beer and dogs with friends, old and new.
