Guess what!?! There’s a new coffee shop on the block. Remedy House officially opened its doors on Nov. 20, and we’re already in love (along with the rest of the city). If they sound familiar, it’s because they are. These guys have been pouring at pop up events around the city for over a year.
Naturally, we’ve been (impatiently) waiting for this brick and mortar location to open in the Five Points Neighborhood. And, it’s finally time!
Inside, you’ll find a hand-painted drink menu with all the beverages you need for a caffeine fix. This shop is serving coffee from Propeller Coffee aka the best handcrafted coffee in Toronto. But seriously, it’s a fact– they were recently named best coffee in Toronto by blogTO. You name it, they pour it at Remedy House. Espresso, macchiatos, cortados, lattes– you choose.
Tea drinkers will be happy to know this place is also serving pour over tea. These loose leaf black, green, and herbal varieties from In Pursuit of Tea are everything. Think twiggy tea with notes of butterscotch and apricot.
Plus, they have seasonal food, bread, and pastries.
Let’s talk vibes. We’re lovin’ them. This place has floor to ceiling glass sliding doors aka sunshine on sunshine. The floors are hextile. The wallpaper is from Cole & Son aka fancy af. And we’re obviously obsessed with the mid-century modern prague chairs, too.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a bright green La Marzocco espresso machine at the counter. Now, we’re just full on swooning.
This bright, cozy, super cute shop is just what this neighborhood has been waiting for. Stay tuned! An expanded menu and late night hours are coming soon…
