Day Camp Programs at Camp Centerland
Camp Centerland’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that teaching and demonstrating the Jewish values of Chesed (kindness), Kehillah (community), and Tikkun Olam (healing the world) is as important as splashing in the swimming pool, enjoying a popsicle, and singing all of your favorite camp songs.
The day camp programs at Camp Centerland are organized by age range to meet your child where they’re at developmentally. That means whether they’re in first grade or entering high school, they’ll learn, play, and make long-lasting friendships in a group filled with other peers their age.
New for 2023: Specialty Camps
If you’re a returning camper, you’ll be pleased to hear about Camp Centerland’s brand new specialty camps. These specialized programs are taught by professional instructors and can be combined with all of the existing activities you know and love. Kids can choose from five different areas of interest, including
- Art – Learn new art techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, while experimenting with various art materials in a creative environment.
- Dance – Explore different forms of creative movement like ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. Then, let your talent shine in a small camper showcase!
- Esports – Held in the brand-new Esports Arena, kids are invited to indulge in their passion for gaming in a way that encourages team-building skills, collaboration, and communication.
- Photography – Spend the summer immersed in nature as you capture photos of all of the beauty (and action!) around Camp Centerland. Kids will also work in the School of Digital Media Computer Lab to finalize their work.
- Theater – Learn to express yourself through acting and theater skills as you prepare to perform in a play at the end of the week!
