By now you’ve probably heard, Hamburg’s long-standing restaurant, Tina’s Italian Kitchen on Main Street is officially closing their doors in December 2015.
Enter Chef Brad Rowell and his wife Caryn, Hamburg natives and current residents who have decided to put down even more roots in the form of a neighborhood bistro called “The Grange Community Kitchen”.
“Our goal is to open during the spring of 2016,” said Brad. Remodeling and construction is set to begin in early January.
“The “Grange” will have a seasonally driven menu – highlighting my passion for quality and the use of local ingredients,” Brad explained. ” Our hope is that my intentions, along with Caryn’s experience in visual presentation and management, will bring a fresh new dining experience to the Village.”
Both Brad and Caryn have most recently worked at Elm Street Bakery as Head Chef and General Manager respectively. They’ve helped launch and grow Elm Street’s wildly successful farm-forward dinner service.
If you’ve been reading Step Out Buffalo at all, you know we’re Brad’s biggest fans. (Full disclosure – we have known him since before starting stepoutbuffalo.com.) While we’re quite certain everything and anything he and Caryn do will blow not only the town of Hamburg but all of Western New York away, don’t take our word for it. Go see for yourself next year.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we need to go grab a bite at Elm Street Bakery before it’s too late and we can’t eat Brad’s food for months.
