The Dinner Detective
A comedy murder mystery that is currently being held at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown immerses guests into the mystery as the murderer is lurking around the room. Joseph’s Catering Service
For a night of entertainment and great food, Joseph’s Catering is hosting a murder mystery event on Saturday November 23rd with a very desperate housewives theme. The night includes appetizers, dinner, dessert and an interactive performance where guests are encouraged to question suspects and work with clues to guess who the killer is. Winning teams will be awarded with prizes. Seatings go fast so call to get your group reservations.
Clients Solution Group Murder Mystery Dinner
Clients Solution Group is bringing a roaring 20s themed murder mystery to Michael’s Catering with an evening of dinning, entertainment, and party favors. Guests are encouraged to dress up in a 20s style as there will be a costume contest and a 20s inspired photo booth. The event is set to take place on October 19th.
Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tour
Offered on Fridays & Saturdays, this tour stops at 3 local taverns while you try and figure out who committed the crime. Friday’s tour is the killing at Buffalo Creek, bringing the wild west theme to Buffalo while Saturday’s tour is death at the disco channeling a 70s themed tour. These tours are super interactive where you ask the questions of the suspects to try and pin point the murderer. These tours are a 21+ event.
Niagara Wine Trail Hallowine
Participating wineries all over WNY come together for Hallowine, the annual murder mystery wine tour. This years tour will take place on October 19-20th with a super hero theme. At all the participating wineries, guests will find clues and interview suspects. At your last winery, you will submit who you think the killer was and then be entered in a chance to win wine prizes. In addition to the murder mystery aspect, your ticket will also get you 3 wine tastings at every winery and a souvenir glass. The Winery at Marjim Manor
With a prohibition themed murder mystery, the Winery at Marjim Manor gives guests the challenge of solving a murder while enjoying a 4 course wine and food pairing dinner. This years murder mystery is to take place on November 2nd. With this event, guests are given clues to try and guess which suspect is too blame. The event also includes a keepsake wine glass and a chance to win prizes.
Spring Lake Winery Vineyard Express
This murder mystery will take you on an excursion that includes, a tour of the Medina Railroad Museum, dinner at Spring Lake Winery, and music by the lake all wrapped into one day. The day begins with the train ride to the museum and then from here you will gain clues as you discover the crime scene of the murder mystery. During dinner, guests can enjoy the live music and amazing lake views. This year, the murder mystery express will take place on October 6th. Options for coach and first class seating are available.
Bringing the murder mystery theme to the escape room experience, Trapped works with local breweries to create a Mystery Tap Takeover. In this game, groups work together at Buffalo restaurants and bars while examining clues to try and solve the murder of Alistair Merrifield. Solve puzzles and riddles to earn extra clues to help your team solve the crime. Plus, enjoy some of Buffalo’s beer and food options to get the crime solving juices flowing! Multiple teams participate in this event and teams are typically 2-8 people. You must be 21+ to participate in this event.
Qube Escape Rooms Niagara

Just over the border to our north, Qube escape rooms offers a “Whodunnit” room where players work together to solve the crime of Mama Napoli who was mysteriously murdered during her retirement party at her Italian restaurant. Your goal as a team is to beat the local authorities in finding the killer and you only have 60 minutes to do it. This escape room offers the option of 3-10 players or a team vs. team option with 8-20 players making it a great opportunity for work parties, family reunions, etc.
Grand Lady Murder Mystery Cruise
The 2.5 hour cruise ride on the Grand Lady includes a dinner and murder mystery show where guests interview suspects and keep track of clues along the way to try and solve the murder and the motive behind it. Enjoy a sail on Buffalo’s waterfront while working with your table guests to put the pieces together and earn the chance to win a prize as the winning team. Seating is assigned so try to book together in groups of 8.
