Buffalo has a ton of options for outdoor dining in the summer, but when it comes to the winter months, you’re forced inside to avoid the low temps unless you’re brave enough to weather the chill on a heated patio.

Thankfully Igloo / greenhouse / hut dinning is available at a few spots around town. Here’s where you can find them, how you can book one, and what’s included:

1. Rick’s On Main

Igloos are now available for outdoor dining at this East Aurora restaurant. They are heated and vented, offering a full menu & bar. Booking is available now through April 30th. You can book a party of up to 4 people per booking (NYS Regulation), there are 3 time slots available (4pm – 6pm – 8pm), all bookings will be allotted 1hr & 45min (Strictly enforced), and there is a $300 food & beverage minimum (exclusive of tax & 20% gratuity).

2. Carte Blanche

61 Buffalo Street Hamburg, NY 14075
One greenhouse is available for dining with a maximum of 4 people per party. Three time slots are available for dinner service at 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm. Check out their Green House Menu here.

3. Deep South Taco (Ellicott)

In addition to Deep South’s already heated patio setup, igloos are now available to enjoy this holiday season. For reservations, call 716-235-8464. Igloo reservations require a minimum of 4 people with $35/person in food & beverages.

4. Deep South Taco (Hertel)

In addition to Deep South’s already heated patio setup, igloos are now available to enjoy this holiday season. Igloo reservations require a minimum of 4 people with $35/person in food & beverages.

5. Five Points Bakery

44 Brayton St. Buffalo New York 14213
This one isn’t an igloo, but it is an adorable “hut” with canvas sides, transparent roofing and a heater, available in a first come first serve capacity outside the cafe in addition to lots of outdoor seating. According to Buffalo Rising, this is hopefully the first of more to come.

6. Tappo Pizza @ Thin Man Brewery – Chandler

Tappo Pizza at Thin Man on Chandler Street is now accepting booking requests for our Igloo Dining Experience for dates from November 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021. A booking costs $250 and fits up to 8 guests at a time for a 2 hour rental. Drinks include 2 Pitchers of Select Thin Man Beers, Hot Caramel Spiked Cider and food offered includes Choice of Salad, 4 Pizzas to Share, and Wings for the Table.

Tappo Igloos

7. Tappo Restaurant (Ellicott St.)

338 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203
Situated on the roof of Tappo restaurant downtown with panoramic views of the city, these igloos need to be on your winter bucket list. Gather eight of your friends for dinner. The basic package includes a choice of two bottles of wine, a warm beverage (like mulled wine or spiked hot cider), a choice of a tossed or caesar salad, a choice of two entrees and dessert platter. Packages range from $375-$600 with add-ons as well.

8. Bistro 93

Located on the Patio of Bistro 93 are two heated igloos that seat a group of people under candlelight and strung lights. While reservations are not required, they are highly recommend. Bonus! There is no additional cost to book one of the igloos, simply grab some friends and family and enjoy your meal under the stars.

9. Rainforest Cafe

300 Third Street, Niagara Falls
The Rainforest Cafe located at the Sheraton in Niagara Falls offers Ice Caves dinning. Available by reservation only, these ice caves allow guest to partake in contactless ordering from a wide variety of fixed-price menu options as well as specialty wines, cocktails, and soft beverages. If you are interested in booking an ice cave for your next outing, reservations can be made by calling the Sheraton Niagara Falls directly at 716-285-3361.

10. Juicy Burger Bar

Starting Friday 1/1/20 reservations are available solely on Open Table! Time slots: 3:00pm, 4:30pm, 6:00pm & 7:30pm reservations required. 4 guests max can be accomodated with a 75 minute limit. After testing out the heaters they strongly suggest wearing layers.
