1. The Haunted Forest at Newfane

When it comes to haunted hayrides, this one is a game changer. You will be on the edge of your seat clinging to your sanity as you venture into a deep fog emanating evil. You won’t want to miss a minute of the spooky tale told through the wagon speaker while simultaneously witnessing the horrifying sights in the woods as the begotten tale comes to life right in front of you.

2. Nightmare Hayrides on Sommerville

6319 Sommerville Valley Road Ellicottville, NY 14731 / Website

This nightmarish experience is back and scarier than ever. Nightmare Hayride is a 25 minute tractor drawn hayride that will lead you down a creepy haunted path with live creatures. Once you have successfully finished the ride you will exit off into a haunted maze that will twist and turn over one acre of land. Be prepared to be scared as you venture through long dark hallways with live creatures. After you have made your way through the maze you’ll end up in the haunted barn featuring the vortex tunnel, totaling a 40 minute experience. No reservations are needed and admission costs $25 per person, 5 and under are free.

3. Becker Farms

Becker Farms has a variety of family-friendly activities to partake in this fall including unlimited family hayrides during the day and returning for October are their haunted hayrides on the weekend. Other activities include apple picking, access to the Country Market, Beer Garden, Brew Pub, and grounds, Farm Animal Exhibits, Mega Slide, and more!

4. The Great Pumpkin Farm

11199 Main Street Clarence, NY 14031  / Website

Fall, kid-friendly hayrides available every weekend along with a cornmaze, Boo Barn, haymaze and more.

5. Kelkenberg Farm of Clarence

9270 Wolcott Rd Clarence Center, NY 14032  / Website

This fall, kid-friendly, not at all haunted hayride around the farm and fields is part of the all inclusive admission which also includes any size pumpkin picked from the patch, pony rides for children, animal viewing, jump pad, and barnyard games and activities! Refreshments, food, bakery items, seasonal produce and fall decor are available inside the farmer’s market.

6. Akron Acres

Akron Acres offers a tractor drawn hayride in addition to other fun on the farm including the corn maze, visits to the animal barn, pony rides, any size pumpkin from the patch, snack shack and more!

7. Pumpkintown

Pumpkintown near Jamestown offers a tractor pulled hayride for the kiddos in addition to seasonal activities and fun for all ages, open on Saturdays and Sundays until October 30.

8. Pumpkinville

This family-friendly adventure right outside of Ellicottville awaits your family! There are an abundance of Fall activities available ranging from viewing farm animals, hayrides amidst beautiful Fall foliage, blasting apples out of a cannon, a corn maze, Happy Horse carousel and a spooky haunted house. Unwind over a cup of hot cider and pumpkin spice doughnut to cap off this amazing experience.

9. Coulter Farms

Running mid September through the end of October, Coulter Farms will host a corn maze, family-friendly hay rides, and pumpkin market with specifically haunted hayrides starting October 1.

10. Sanger Farms

Plan a family-friendly outing at Sanger Farms for apple picking and free hay rides around the farm.

10. Wheatfield Pumpkin Farm

6920 Nash Rd, Wheatfield, NY 14120 / Facebook

The Wheatfield Pumpkin farm has pumpkins of course, but they’ve also got a daytime hayride available. They are working on trying to have a haunted hayride as well this season so be sure to keep an eye on their Facebook to see if they can make it happen!

11. Greg’s U-Pick Farm
