It’s officially that time of year where snow flurries are just around the corner and the chaos of the holidays commence. To help you get a head start on your holiday festivities is the Roycroft Campus.

Located in the heart of East Aurora, the historic Roycroft Inn and Campus is one of the top destinations in the area when it comes to holiday events. From finding the perfect gift at the Copper Shop or Holiday Craft Show to planning a little staycation at the Inn, this National Historic Landmark is the perfect way to kick off the season.

1. Roycroft Campus Holiday Show

Get in the holiday spirit at a National Historic Landmark in the heart of small-town East Aurora!

There will be several shopping locations throughout five Campus buildings featuring many local artists and vendors. Don’t miss a visit on the grounds with some furry friends from Thistle Creek Alpacas. The best part: the event is free!

When: December 3rd & 4th 10am-5pm

2. Take a Tour of the Museum

The Museum Tour begins on the Campus grounds with an introduction to the Roycroft history, then transitions to an exploration of our artifact collection on exhibit in the Campus Museum. Through a combination of rotating and permanent exhibits, visitors can see rare, one-of-a-kind artifacts, and learn more about the people, products, and philosophy that made Elbert Hubbard and the Roycroft an important part of the Arts & Crafts Movement. This tour lasts approximately 1 hour.

*** Did you know that the illustrator of “The Wizard of Oz”, W.W. Denslow, was also a former Roycrofter and designed graphics for many Roycroft publications? For a limited time, a special exhibit featuring the work of Denslow (primarily Roycroft related) will be on display at the Campus’ Museum, in partnership with the International Wizard of Oz Club. The exhibit is available to the general public through December. Guests must book one of the regularly scheduled public tours in order to gain access to the Museum (see link below).

When: Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 2pm through December 23rd

Cost: $15
