Have you heard? Due to Covid-19, we’ve temporarily changed our motto to “Stay In, Buffalo”. And for the foreseeable future we will be posting content that shares how our community can continue to support local businesses while adhering to guidelines set by the CDC.

Two things we are all very concerned about right now as Covid-19 takes over our lives? Supporting Western New York’s healthcare workers and local restaurants surviving. So the fact that there is a way to help both causes in one fell swoop is music to our ears!
Jenna L. Goldsmith and The Cheesy Chick food truck have teamed up to offer free lunches to healthcare workers at WNY hospitals. They are collecting donations from the public through a Go Fund Me page which will go towards free meals to anyone who presents their badge while ordering during their hospital stops. In addition to donations from the public, the Cheesy Chick is covering half the cost of the meals.

Updates are posted on the Go Fund Me page after each stop detailing how many hospital staff members were fed that day thanks to the donations made. On Thursday, March 26, 240 healthcare workers at Roswell were fed and 93 at Buffalo General two days before that.
As of right now, two more stops are planned for next week. Anyone can get involved by donating at gofundme.com.
How else can you help? Share this post and spread the word about this fantastic effort under way to help support the people on the front lines fighting for us all.
