1. Doppelbock Barrel Tapping

Wednesday, February 2 at 7 p.m.

Doppel means double in German. Therefore, a Doppelbock is double the fun and bigger and stronger than the average Bock. This traditional German lager was originally brewed by monks during Lent and times of fasting. Since they weren’t allowed to eat solid foods during the day they created a big, sweet bier to carry them through the day until the evening.

This bier style is an especially wonderful choice on a cold Buffalo winter day.

If you visit Hofbrauhaus Buffalo on February 2, you’ll be among the first to sample their Doppelbock. You can expect a big, bold, and assertive bier with notes of the dark fruits of plum and raisin, a soft hop presence, and a lingering toasted bread finish. This bier will also have a soft alcohol warmth and low carbonation. Reservations are recommended.

2. Super Bowl Party

Sunday, February 13

The biggest game of the year is less than a month away and Hofbrauhaus Buffalo is celebrating with a party!

There a two ways to enjoy the big day:

Watch the game and take advantage of the Game Day Specials:

  • $6 Shots of Mafia Sauce
  • $10 Liters and $5 Half Liters
  • $15 Jagermeister Shot Skis
  • $10 Jumbo Pretzel Combo
  • $12 Hofbräuhaus Poutine

Or, you and your friends can head to the private King Ludwig Room to watch the game and enjoy a Super buffet with finger foods and bier specials. It is just $14.99 per person or if you’re a Stein Club member it’s completely free.

The best part? There’s no penalty for excessive celebration at this beer hall, so come hungry and ready to drink!
