And that’s exactly why we invited the best dessert makers and sweet shops in Western New York to come together for the ultimate dessert competition. Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 29, 2020 because the sweetest day of the year is back!
This event is hosted by yours truly, Step Out Buffalo, and our good friend The Cheesecake Guy. We’ve got some new and exciting changes in store for our second annual event, here’s everything you need to know about Sweet Tooth Festival 2020:
Everyone’s a judge this year.
This year all tickets include a bite-sized sample from each dessert vendor so you can try ’em all and then vote on your favorites. Don’t worry, you’ll also get a take-home box for treats you don’t finish during the event.
There are two new titles to compete for.
This year’s dessert vendors will be competing for the titles of “Best Overall Dessert” plus all-new titles “Best Presentation” and “Opposites Attract.” The latter will be given to the dessert vendor who you think is the best as combining opposite ingredients or concepts. Think sweet and salty, hot and cold, crunchy and soft, etc. Basically once you try aaaall the sweets and treats you can decide who should get the crown in 3 different categories. Maybe it’s a clean sweep, maybe a different vendor killed it in each category. You taste, you decide.
Checking your coat supports a good cause.
The coat check at Sweet Tooth 2020 will support our charity partner, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of WNY. All of the tips will benefit their organization, which funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services to those living in WNY and beyond.

If you love sweet treats as much as we do, your next steps are simple. First, choose a session to attend (12 to 2 pm or 3 to 5 pm). Next, invite your most fun friends and buy your tickets. And finally, show up, taste all the things, and vote for your favs.

- Tickets: $35 + taxes & fees for Judge ticket; includes admission to the event, a bite-sized sample from each participating dessert vendor, a to-go box to take home your treats, and the chance to vote Kids 10 and under are free (does NOT include samples)
