You gotta play – but you also gotta eat.
Traveling all over the country allows NHL players to experience *lots* of food. With so many meals under their belts it’s honestly incredible that they even remember the names of the places they end up at. TBH, I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday.
So when it comes to picking favorites, it’s safe to say you might not expect WNY restaurants to top their lists… but that’s exactly what happened when players from all across the league were asked to name their favorite places to eat in the U.S. by The Athletic last summer.
So, where are NHL players eating when they come to town?
Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators named Buffalo Chophouse his top restaurant, specifically for their incredible filets. Alex Killorn of the Tampa Bay Lightening named Mother’s as his choice for their lobster gnocchi. No arguments here.
As Buffalonians know we have some great food, but it is always nice to see non-locals having just as much appreciation for our food as we do.
