Here’s Why Stephen Colbert Poked Fun at Buffalonians…

As we all know, the “Shot and a Chaser” program was recently implemented in Erie County to draw in young adults to get their COVID-19 vaccine. Obviously (if you’re from WNY at least), the allure to this promotion is a free beer that comes after receiving the vaccine.

As people do, Stephen Colbert pounced on this as an opportunity to poke fun at Buffalonians exclaiming: “Finally! A way to get the residents of Buffalo drinking beer.” Watch the full video below.

County officials are hoping this complimentary beverage will be the agent of change that inspires young adults to become vaccinated. And honestly, we are so here for it.
