Ebenezer Ale House
4348 Seneca Street, West Seneca | (716) 674-2337
Want a great list of appetizers at a reasonable price? Well, come on down to the Ebenezer Ale House for happy hour where you will find just that. Bacon wrapped shrimp, stuffed peppers, spinach and artichoke dip, crispy shrimp, fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, Cajun chicken strips, fried pretzels, and more are all half off! The special runs Monday thru Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. All drafts (unless it’s a particularly special draft) are $3. Glasses of house wine are also $3 and well drinks are only $2. The atmosphere of Ebenezer’s is pretty laid back and relaxed, so you don’t have to wear a suit and tie to get in. But, if you are looking for somewhere that’s generally quiet, this is not the place. Friday nights can get pretty packed and now that the establishment will soon offer a huge outdoor patio, it’s definitely going to be a party. You gotta check this place out! My favorite place for happy hour with my girlfriends is most definitely Bar Louie. Their martinis are to die for and their appetizers surely hit the spot! Every Monday thru Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and every Monday thru Thursday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., Bar Louie offers $3 drafts, $4 wines, and $5 martinis. Plus, they also offer half-price appetizers and flatbreads. And, may I make a suggestion? You must try their spinach and artichoke dip! It’s too good for words. But, let’s get back to the real treat, the martinis. For all of you ladies looking for a good time to vent about your boyfriend or your pain in the butt co-workers, Bar Louie’s martinis are the best way to let the good times roll. These martinis don’t even taste like martinis because the alcohol is undetectable in them. Don’t let that fool you though; these fruity drinks will sneak up on you before you know it! Cheers!

Whenever I walk down Elmwood Avenue and the sun is shining on my face, I pass by Cecelia’s and see how much fun folks are having on their outdoor patio and I can’t help but stop by for a drink. This is especially true on Mondays. Monday is Martini Mania where you can get half-priced martinis and appetizers from 4 to 8 p.m. And, let me tell you, these martinis are the real deal. If you miss the mania, that’s okay because Cecelia’s also offers half-priced martinis every Tuesday thru Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the bar. If you love mimosas, be sure to stop by on Sundays for some Bottomless Mimosas! Brunch and beverages on a Sunday is a great way to end the weekend, so get your drink on my friends!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. If you want ambiance and a fabulous time, there’s no better place than The Lodge. The greatest part about this still fairly new restaurant is that it welcomes everyone. You can walk in with casual and fun attire, or you can come in with a business suit, either way you can bask in the classiness that is The Lodge. And now the fancy, fun place is offering great happy hour specials for their valued customers. On Fridays from 4:30 to 7 p.m., drink specials start at $3 for domestic bottled beers and you can get $6 fish tacos and $6 lettuce wraps and jalapeno peppers. Fancy schmancy guys!

Another sophisticated and elegant place to drink and dine on a budget is Papaya, right in the heart of downtown Buffalo. And who doesn’t love sushi and martinis? Wednesdays are two for one martinis and half priced sushi beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Papaya’s most popular martini is the Tri’s Vietnamese Kiss that consists of Absolut Mango Vodka with black raspberry liqueur and pineapple juice; topped with a float of champagne. They also have drink specials throughout the week from 4 to 7 p.m., which includes half priced appetizers and domestic bottles starting at $2.75.

Established in the 1940’s and then restored and renovated years later, 31 Club is still the prime spot to get noticed. The establishment offers a wide range of happy hour specials to fit everyone’s needs. Every day offers a different special, so you may want to call ahead to find out which day suits you, but here’s an updated list of what 31 Club can provide you with. Monday thru Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., 31 Club offers $6 wine and cocktails and $4 beers. On Mondays, 31 Club also has half-off appetizers; Wednesday is Ladies’ Cocktail Hour from 4 to 9 p.m., with specialty drinks, martinis, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Thursday is ‘Professional Cocktail Hour,’ which offers $1 oysters and Friday is ‘Classic Happy Hour,’ with half-priced shrimp cocktails. They are also offering a special on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where you can have a nice brunch meal with two for one mimosas and bloody marys (starting at noon). Can we say I’m in heaven?
