So you’re laying off the birthday treats in the office break room (for the most part), you’re trying to sit less, and cut back on day drinking (here and there). There’s nothing left but to kick your workout routine into high gear before it’s mid-July and your summer body is nothing but a fantasy for 2018.
You know who can help with that? Orangetheory Fitness. The group fitness studio was started in Boca Raton, Florida and now has two locally owned and operated locations – one on Transit Road and one on Niagara Falls Blvd, both in the Amherst area.
If you’re not familiar with Orangetheory Fitness , here’s the gist. It’s a fitness studio that focuses heavily on heart rate levels during your workout. To optimize your workout, you’ll wear a heart rate monitor during your workout to track intensity and maximize metabolic burn. Keeping your heart rate in a target zone spikes metabolism and increases energy.
Orangetheory Fitness offers 60-minute workout sessions split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. During these intervals, your heart rate monitor will come in real handy, allowing your results to be projected on a screen for you and the rest of the class to see. In other words, Orangetheory holds you hella accountable. And we like it.
These one of a kind group personal training workouts involve cardio activities like walking, running, and rowing, plus strength training moves including TRX, free weights, and more. Your results will include increased energy and burning calories long after you leave the studio. They call this the “Orange Effect”, and it’s bout to have a serious impact on your summer bod.
