
Larkinville quickly gained attention in recent years thanks to their summer concerts and food truck Tuesdays, but if it’s been a minute since you’ve explored the region, it’s time to make your way back. In the past 6 months to a year, the area has seen an immense amount of growth, making it a day trip destination for shopping and dining.
To help you make the most of your day in Larkinville, we’ve put together an itinerary of places well worth a visit, but we encourage you to see what catches your eye along the way and add it to your own personal list!

Breakfast: Toasted by Buffalo Beauty Foodie, Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery
To kickstart your day, we recommend heading to Toasted’s second location which recently opened in Larkinville. Here you’ll find fresh made-to-order toasts that are loaded with premium toppings. If toast is not your morning vibe, head to Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery for some savory breakfast sandwiches and fresh roasted coffee.

Break a Sweat at Larkin Square

After breakfast, if you’re up for a challenge and willing to break a sweat, Larkin Square has you covered. On Saturdays you can join in on their free zumba classes starting June 3rd and continuing throughout the summer. For a little more competitive exercise, Larkin Square is home to two pickleball courts. These courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and you must bring your own equipment.



Shop Along Seneca Street
One of the newest additions to the Larkin District is The Lounge Shop. Here you’ll find everyday feel good basics as well as Buffalo-themed apparel and loungewear. Head to BKindCity for variety of apparel in the athleisure category. Once you’ve found yourself some new apparel, treat yourself to some gourmet sweets from Blue Table Chocolates or grab a famous fresh-baked donut from Paula’s.

Lunch: Swan Street Diner
For all the old time diner feels, Swan Street Diner is the place to go. While they are a popular breakfast destination, they also make a great lunch spot. Choose from a huge selection of sandwiches, wraps, and burgers and pair your meal with a homemade milkshake or float.



Search for Street Art

Brewery Bar Hop
With multiple breweries in the area, a bar hop is the way to go if you’re looking to try a little bit of everything that the craft brewer scene has to offer. Some stops worth checking out in the area include BriarBrothers Brewing, Sad Boys Brewing, Belt Line Brewery, Buffalo Distilling, Flying Bison Brewing and Buffalo Brewing Company. You’ll find each place offers their own unique style so have fun finding something that speaks to you! Quick History Stop: Larkin Building Wall – Frank Lloyd Wright

By now, most people know about the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright and his works throughout WNY. But, what you may not know is that one of his projects previously existed in the Larkin District. Unfortunately it was demolished in 1950 and all that remains is a small portion of the original wall. Head to the site of once was Frank Lloyd Wright’s Larkin Building to learn a little bit more about the structure’s history and see what is left of it.



Dinner: Compass Run, Eckl’s at Larkin, Hydraulic Hearth
Larkinville has quite the elevated food scene for dinner options. Head to Hydraulic Hearth for brick oven pizzas and beer garden vibes, Eckl’s at Larkin for steakhouse stables and their famous beef on weck, or Compass Run for some good ol’ southern cooking! You’ll also find all three of these places have some of the best cocktail programs in Buffalo.
