A new crop of local shops are setting up for the Spring edition of Queen City Pop up this week on the 500 block of Main Street. The participants haven’t been announced yet, but the picking has been great in past years so get excited Buffalo!

Shut up and Glow Me 5/6

Hosted by Haute La Vie, this one of a kind “interactive glow in the dark art experience” is a chance to get dressed up in your “most glow-tastic gear and get ready to be involved in a completely immersive and interactive glow in the dark experience”.  According to the Facebook event page, the audience adds to the transformation of the venue into a radiating piece of glow in the dark art. We’re kind of obsessed. Tickets are $15 and it’s BYOB.

This grassroots festival is coming to an Elmwood Village porch near you! Local musicians get together to play on porches throughout the village. Head down to Elmwood, wander, chill on a blanket, and enjoy the community surrounding you. This event is free.

Mark your calendars for this free family friendly event down at Silo City. The festivities include fishing, live animals, food trucks, workshops and crafts, a VR installation (say whatttt), Silo City and USS Columbia tours, a large outdoor screening of the Kentucky Derby (because why not?), live music, fireworks, and more!

The giant community bike ride series is back this May and better than ever. The season opener of the weekly free rides will kick off with a Parkway Revival Ride as a “statement for right-sizing the Scajaquada and Kensington Expressways to restore Olmsted’s vision for our city in order to re-knit the community back together”.
