“I knew it was special as soon as I came here, it’s crazy”
Kaiir Elam was selected 23rd overall in the Bills’ first round pick and was quickly flown to Buffalo to see what it really means to be a Buffalo Bill, even more so, a true Buffalonian.
To kick off his visit, he met with Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier and was given a tour of Highmark Stadium.
Later, in true Buffalo style, he was greeted with a goodie bag from Wegmans and a call from Josh Allen congratulating Elam on making the team. That night, Elam was given a warm welcome by WNY at the Sabres season finale alongside his new teammates.
One thing that stood out in particular with Elam’s first day in Buffalo is his appreciation he already has for our city.
In an interview during his visit, Elam was asked what he thought of being chosen to play here. He stated, “I just felt so relieved and so at home and so at peace…and I really believe something special is going to happen here.”
Hearing his response just goes to show how our city is getting back to that “One Buffalo” motto with players that truly want to be here.
