Elmwood Village’s favorite locally owned grocery store, the Lexington Co-op, has opened their second location on Hertel Avenue this past month.
The Lexington Co-op, aside from being a go-to grocery store for organic and locally grown groceries, is unique because it is a cooperative. This means they take “shop local” to the next level, and that the co-op is owned by its employees and community members.
The new co-op location is actually double the size of the Elmwood one. It flaunts spacious aisles, a freshly prepared cafe section, and even large indoor and outdoor seating.
Shop at the co-op to find a large selection of locally brewed beers, organic produce, and even organic skin care and lifestyle items.
Wondering how many people love the co-op? Just drive around any given Buffalo neighborhood and see all the lawn signs that have “We love our co-op” written on them.
